The Futility of Wealth
Jul 25, 2021 • Ryan Bogert • Ecclesiastes 5:10-12; 18-20; 6:7-9
Ecclesiastes 6 tells us that being focused on acquiring large amounts of wealth is ultimately meaningless, and can lead to greater stress and less happiness. Scientific studies on wealth reinforce this belief, finding that those who are wealthy are generally less happy than people from middle-income families. Ultimately, the best thing we can to focus on money as little as possible in this life, and instead choose to find joy in our work and enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer us.
