An Unexpected Guest

In the story of the Nativity there are unexpected guests. First, an unexpected angel visits Zechariah and declares the good news that is coming through his son that is to be born and the Messiah Jesus that will follow. Mary & Joseph also appear in Bethlehem and are looking for a place to stay. There is not much room for them. So then we are asked the question, will we this Advent season make room for Jesus in our home and life? This sermon celebrates, proclaims, and reflects upon the good news and work God will do through John the Baptist and invites us to make room for Jesus in our lives this Advent season.
