Our world is more connected—and more vulnerable—than ever. Join us as a trusted community member and cybersecurity expert shares practical insights to strengthen your digital safety. Each session is tailored for a specific audience—students, parents, working adults, or seniors—spotlighting real-life challenges and the steps you can take to stay protected. Offered as a free resource to the community through New Life Community Church.

This series is made up of individual sessions that focus on the digital safety concerns and needs of diverse ages & stages of life. We would love to have you join us for any and all sessions that are applicable to you and your family.

For Parents of Teens and Tweens | Free

Wednesday, October 15th | 6:00pm - 7:00pm
This class will be focused on guiding parents of middle and high school students through the digital risks specific to adolescence. Topics include social media behavior, sextortion, manipulation, disappearing content, and building healthy digital boundaries and open conversations through trust-based parenting. Light refreshments will be offered, and feel free to bring/enjoy your dinner during the session. This event is completely free and open to anyone in the community, but please RSVP to help us plan.

For Parents of Kids | Free

Thursday, October 16th | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
This class covers both caregiver safety strategies (e.g. photos, posts, device surveillance) and guiding kids toward cyber-smart habits. Kids 4th grade and up are welcome to attend with parents. Light refreshments will be offered, and feel free to bring/enjoy your dinner during the session. This event is completely free and open to anyone in the community, but please RSVP to help us plan.

Senior Friends | Digital Safety Edition | $10 for lunch

Friday, October 17th | 12:00pm - 2:00pm
This event will take place at our regular monthly Senior Friends event - all seniors are welcome! Join us for a delicious lunch and a helpful seminar on keeping your information, finances, and family safe in today's digital world. Cost is $10 for lunch at the door.

For Adults | Free

Wednesday, October 22nd | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
This class will be focused on personal cybersecurity hygiene for working-age adults. Covers identity protection, data tracking, password habits, breach fallout, and app-based risks relevant to daily life and work.  Light refreshments will be offered, and feel free to bring/enjoy your dinner during the session. This event is completely free and open to anyone in the community, but please RSVP to help us plan.

Thursday, October 23rd | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
In this session we will explore why our digital lives matter, what personal information is worth, how it’s harvested, and where we’re most exposed. Includes simple, practical tips for protecting yourself. There will be time for Q&A. There will be light refreshments offered, and feel free to bring/enjoy your dinner during the session. Known mosty around New Life as "Pastor Erin's Husband", Leon works for a leading Fortune 500 company ensuring their data remains safe and secure around the globe. Leon came to know Jesus as a teenager through the local church in his hometown, and has been a part of the New Life community for 7 years. Today, Leon is passionate about helping families and individuals navigate the digital world with safety, knowledge, and confidence. He also enjoys coffee, traveling, and barbecuing.
